Our company was born on Hawaii’s Big Island, as a supplier of imported food products for local restaurants and cafés. Established for more than four years in this earthly paradise, we have dedicated ourselves to offering only quality products, guaranteeing the best of the best for our customers.

However, since our arrival in the town of Kona we always had the dream of exporting a typical product of the area. And a product that manages to accurately represent the culture, tradition, and quality of local production of Hawaii. What better product to produce than Kona coffee, which for decades has been considered to be one of the most exquisite beverages in the world.

Once we decided to produce it, local family farms began to select their best beans for us. 1. Choose the Right Grind

For a flat-bottom filter, use a medium grind that resembles sea salt.
Cone filters use a finer grind similar to the consistency of granulated sugar.

2. Measure the Coffee

If you prefer your coffee with more full-bodied flavor and intensity, use 0.423 Oz (12 gr.) of Kona Volcano Coffee (1 high-topped soup spoon) for every 7.95 FL Oz (235 ml) of water you use in your coffee maker.

If you prefer your coffee lighter, but still brimming with flavor and satisfying aroma, use 0.25oz (7 gr.) of Kona Volcano Coffee (1 tablespoon with low cap) for every 7.95 FL Oz, (235 ml) of water.

3. Make and enjoy

Use preferably filtered or purified water. Coffee is always better consumed when it’s freshly brewed, so it’s convenient to prepare the amount that is going to be savored in the moment. It is preferable to let the coffee cool down before tasting it in order to appreciate and experience all the notes of its flavor. Reheating the coffee may depreciate the taste.

French Press

1. Grind and measure the coffee

The secret is all in the grind: Use coarse ground coffee (it resembles the consistency of granulated sugar) in the coffee maker and uses 0.423 Oz, (12 gr.) of Kona Volcano Coffee (2 tablespoons with high pompadour) for every 7.95 FL Oz, (235 ml) of water. Remember, coffee is best enjoyed when it’s fresh. Buy it in small quantities to enjoy its maximum freshness.

2. Add hot water

Pour hot water – not quite boiling – into the pot. Make sure to saturate all the coffee grounds with the water. To provide the best possible flavor to your coffee, use filtered or purified water.

3. Place the plunger and prepare

Place the plunger cap into the pot without pressing down and wait four minutes for the coffee to release its full flavor.

4. Press and serve

Gently push the plunger down to the bottom of the coffee pot and enjoy your freshly brewed coffee!

1. Prepare the water

Measure out the amount of water you want to use to make your coffee, plus a small additional amount to rinse the filter, place it in a container.

2. Pre-moisten the filter

Fold the filter into a cone shape, rinse the filter with hot water. This will give the coffee the purest flavor possible. Discard the rinse water.

3. Grind and measure the coffee

Use finer ground coffee (it resembles the consistency of granulated sugar) in the coffee maker and uses 12 gr. of Kona Volcano Coffee (2 tablespoons with high pompadour) for every 7.95 FL Oz, (235 ml) of water.

4. Pour and wait

Use hot water that has reached the boiling point and pour it up to the middle of the filter to saturate the grounds. Wait 10 seconds for the coffee to hydrate and bloom. This allows the coffee to permeate evenly and begin to develop flavor.

5. Complete the pour and enjoy

Pour water in a continuous circular motion to cover all the grounds. Enjoy it immediately. Remember, for a more even drip, use a timer. The preparation time for a cup is approximately three minutes.

Italian Espresso

1. Choose the right grind

For this method a medium grind is needed, not as fine as for an espresso super-automatic, nor as coarse as a filter or cold brew machine. When buying pre-packaged roasted and ground Kona Volcano Coffee, it can be used directly.

2. Fill the tank with hot water

Fill the coffee pot’s reservoir to just below the valve with hot water. For the best possible flavor to your coffee, use filtered or purified water.

3. Close the coffee maker

In order not to burn yourself when touching the base, fit the upper jug ​​over the coffee funnel, turning well, but without overdoing it, grasping it by the body not by the handle. Check beforehand that the rubber is in perfect condition, white and without signs of wear or tear.

4. Put the coffee maker to heat with the lid open

Place the base, if it is not already there, on the stove with medium to low heat, making sure the corresponding size of the burner, is not larger than the diameter of the coffee maker. Leave the lid open.

5. Close the lid and remove from heat

Once the coffee is released, close the lid and turn off the heat, removing the machine when everything has gone out, so that it doesn’t continue to overheat. When you hear the bubbling sound, it is the signal that the coffee is ready. Don’t let it boil.

6. Serve immediately and enjoy

Enjoy it immediately. It’s preferred to let the coffee cool before enjoying it in order to appreciate and experience all the notes of its flavor.
